WALTER CHAN Assistant Secretary

Walter has over 20 years of experience in the detailed design, design management and construction of major transportation projects. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

For the past eight years he has concentrated on a number of railway projects and feasibility studies for the MTR Corporation and KCRC.

Before his return to Hong Kong in 1997, he was the Principal Bridge Engineer with the Railways Services Authority of NSW, Australia in charge of the management of the Civil Design Bridges Section, which provides services for both internal and external clients.
