Brian has spent his whole career in the Railway industry. After graduating from the University of Bristol, UK, in 1961 he joined British Railways Western Region as a Graduate Trainee, becoming Assistant Divisional Civil Engineer of the Western Region's London Division in 1976. He was seconded to Transmark in 1978 as posted to Hong Kong as the Project Engineer working for the Hong Kong Government to modernise and electrify the KCR.
Upon completion of the project in 1982 he joined KCR as an employee. He worked as a Project Enigneer on the KCR Light Rail system and was appointed Project Manager in 1988. In 1992 he became General Manager of the Engineering Department of the Light Rail Division of KCRC and in 1998 bus engineering was added to his scope of resonsibilities.
Brian retired from KCRC in 2000.
